Beef minute steak sandwiches with scorched onions

Ingredients
- 1kg beef fillet
- 6 medium brown onions
- tomatoes
- iceberg lettuce
- small pita bread pockets
- tomato chutney
Method
- Slice the beef and, using a meat mallet, gently pound out each slice until it is 1/2 cm thick
- Season with salt and pepper and set aside with the peeled and sliced onions
- Slice the tomatoes and lettuce and place onto a serving plate
- Cook the onions on a hot barbecue until scorched and starting to burn and caramelise
- Sear the beef quickly on each side until rare to medium rare
- Warm the pita breads on the barbecue and then place everything on the table for guests to assemble themselves
