Chinese barbecued pork spare ribs
Serves Serves 8 - 10 as part of a barbecue selection
Ingredients
- 4 spring onions
- 2cm piece fresh ginger
- 100ml light soy
- 50ml rice vinegar
- 100g hoisin sauce
- 25g white sugar
- 1.5kg pork spare ribs
Method
- Peel and dice the spring onions and ginger
- Mix with the rest of the ingredients and allow to marinate overnight
- Cook on a hot barbecue, drizzling over the excess marinade as the ribs are cooking until they are caramelised and cooked through
- Your barbecue will need a good clean after cooking the ribs but always remember to leave the barbecue well oiled after each use
